It’s the holiday season, which means many of us will be travelling home or on vacation. Whatever your plans are, if you are a Virgin Mobile customer, you can take advantage of our roaming plans when you’re outside the country. Having a roaming plan can be a great way to help you stay connected and avoid costly international data and calling charges.
We offer three types of roaming options, to suit your every travel need – Roam Like Home (Roaming Pass), Roaming Packs, and Pay as You Go.
Roam Like Home (Roaming Pass)
When you purchase a roaming pass , you get to use all of your data and international minutes while you’re abroad for a flat fee, for a period of either 7 days or 30 days.
One pass buys you either minutes or data. If you want to use both, you’ll have to buy two passes. But, we have a six-months-free promotion for international minutes, which means you get to enjoy that extra talk time free – it’s on us!
Roaming Packs
Our daily, weekly and monthly roaming packs give you a set amount of data or calls to use while roaming. Daily roaming packs are great if you’re going away for a weekend or a short trip. Weekly or monthly packs are perfect for longer trips.
Pay as You Go
This option allows you to pay for the exact amount of data and minutes you use while roaming, using the credits on your App Wallet . All you have to do is recharge your wallet and off you go! Pay As You Go is only good, if you’re traveling for a short period of time and don't expect to use the phone extensively.
To activate any of our plans, all you have to do is log in to the Virgin Mobile app and select the plan that best suits your needs.
Once you've activated your roaming plan, you'll be able to use your phone as usual while traveling abroad. You can make calls, send texts, and use data just as you would at home. Just be sure to check our supported countries list before you leave to make sure our roaming is available in your destination or to check the rates so you can avoid any surprise charges.
